Hike On Guides in based in the Catskill Park of New York State. The Catskill Park is located less than 2 hours from New York City and offers hundreds of miles of hiking trails, hundreds of thousands of acres of wild areas and an endless opportunity for exploration.
We're not limited to the Catskill Park though, if you have interest in any part of New York, including the Adirondack Park or the Appalachian Trail, we're happy to create a trip just for you! We also are able to provide services for hikes in the White Mountains and North Country of New Hampshire. Just Contact Us and let us know what you’d be interested in!
Day Hiking
With nearly 400 miles of trails in the Catskill Park alone, we can find a hiking or backpacking trip that's perfect for you. We can offer you hikes to the Catskills many peaks, waterfalls, family friendly hikes, and treks into remote wilderness areas.
We want to help you set up a trip that you will enjoy, that will meet your goals, and will pique your interest for future visits.

Long Distance Backpacking
Interested in hiking one of the many long distance trails in our area? Our Lead Guide, Moe Lemire has thru-hiking experience and has thru-hiked New York’s 358-mile Long Path, New Hampshire’s 170-mile Cohos Trail, New York’s 138-mile Northville-Placid Trail, and the 2190-mile Appalachian Trail.

Camping and Backpacking
We know that there's nothing more relaxing than spending a night in the outdoors and we want you to experience it in the Catskills!
Hike On Guides offer a variety of overnight excursions from car camping to multi-day backpacking trips.
Two of the Catskills most popular and scenic trails, the Devil’s Path and the Escarpment Trail make excellent two to three day backpacks!
Just want to experience camping for the first time, we can get you out to the perfect camping spot in the backcountry or at one of our many state campgrounds in the Catskills and help you have the perfect overnight experience.
Winter snowshoeing and hiking
Winter doesn’t stop us at Hike On Guides. The nearly 400 miles of trails in the Catskill Park become an all new kind of adventure in the winter months and we’re ready to enjoy it with snowshoeing hikes throughout the mountains.
